How to check if a page or article is indexed in Google and Bing?

Short answer

Check page indexing 4 ways: site: operator in search (site:yoursite.com/page-url), 'URL Inspection' tool in Google Search Console (exact status), 'Pages in search' in Bing Webmaster, or bulk via Screaming Frog + API. If 'Discovered — currently not indexed' in GSC — found but not prioritized. If 'Crawled — currently not indexed' — crawled but quality didn't convince.

Check page indexing 4 ways, main one — 'URL Inspection' tool in Google Search Console. Shows not just yes/no but exact reason why.

Methods

  1. site: operator — site:yoursite.com/page.
  2. URL Inspection in Search Console — exact status + reason.
  3. Bing Webmaster Tools — equivalent for Bing.
  4. Bulk via Screaming Frog + GSC API.
